This is a single OEM replacement cover for string trimmers. The cover, also sometimes referred to as a cap, works with the spool line assembly to allow line to feed out while trimming, keeping it secure inside the housing. It is common for the cover to wear or crack over time. For this simple repair, press and hold the two latches and pull the cover away from the spool holder. This is a good time to clean all the areas of the cover and spool. Now, to replace this part, press down towards the spool holder to secure the new cover. To ensure it is securely in position, try removing it without pressing down on the latches.

Leaf Blower Fuel Tank Vent

The check valve allows air into the fuel tank to prevent vacuum when the fuel is being fed through the fuel line. Tip: if the vent is clogged, your engine may stall. Tune-up Kit

In order to keep your equipment running strong, doing regular maintenance is critical. Your small engine should have a tune-up once per year, which consists of replacing the most common wear parts. This OEM-sourced kit includes an air filter; spark plug and fuel filter. Replacing all the parts in this kit should not take any longer than five minutes. Start by installing the air filter. Remove the air filter cover and air filter. Place the new air filter on the filter case and place the cover back on. Next, replace the fuel filter. Remove the gas cap and use a wire hook to lift the fuel line from the tank. Remove the old filter and line up the new one onto the fuel line, making sure the retaining clamp fits over the nipple. Lastly, replace the spark plug by first removing the boot. Use a wrench to remove the spark plug. Before installing the new spark plug be sure to check the gap between the electrodes. Install the new spark plug into the cylinder and place the boot back on.

Then fuel will come up from the fuel tank through the fuel line then into the carburetor. The excess fuel will be forced back into the tank through the fuel return line. Over time the primer will lose its elasticity or crack and need to be replaced.
