I thought motor had gone out. The fan came off the spindle. One side is deeper and the other side is flush. which side do I put on the motor?

Fan not working in top section of refrigerator
Checked freezer section still cool. and working but no fan noise. checked compressor unit good. removed all contains in freezer unit. door, slider, trays and ice maker. remove panel in back to get to fan. tested fan with no luck. installed new fan and reinstalled everything. unit good!

Evap fan motor became louder and louder. I assumed, we know what that means, motor going bad or out of balance.
If out of balance, I would need a fan motor, fan and fan grommet to stabilize the motor and fan. Once frozen food, shelf and baskets were removed, next task was to clean food particles on shelf brackets and floor of freezer. Followed Steve's video with no problems. Only slight problem was I needed to remove the light and bulb protector

to be able to put the coil protector back in place without bending it. Entire job only took 30 minutes then another 15 to gather tools, then put them away. Motor is nice and quiet now. Outstanding instructional video. Thank you. Herb
