I opened up the top of the dryer by removing the screws on the lint trap and pop the 2 front corners of the top of the dryer and lifted it up then pulled apart the door switch and I tested with an ohm meter and found that the door switch was dead. Gas dryer would not heat; dryer would not stop when door was opened.
I had left the dryer open from when I took the old parts out to troubleshoot them. The back of the dryer was already off so I just installed the fuse, connected the leads and put the back on: about 3 minutes tops. The door switch was a little more involved as I dropped one of the screws in the dryer after I had the front put on. The ha

rdest part about the whole thing was getting the drum to line back up with the front. I wound up having to use a flat tip screwdriver as a wedge to flatten the felt to fit inside the drum. Also, I had to double check the placement of the drive belt tensioner as the drum was rubbing it at first. Best to check that before putting everything back together, only to take it all back apart.

Dryer ran continuously, door open or closed. Heat working.
Remove upper back panel- six 1/4" hex head screws. Remove 2 5/16" hex head screws holding timer in place. Replace timer, 1 wire at a time, screw back on. Replace rear cover.For door switch, remove 2 philips-head screws, pry top of dryer up enough to reach in and disconnect harness plug. Replace switch, plug in and put in two screws. Push
