My dishwasher was howling when filling with water. Dishes were not getting cleaned during wash cycle.
Make sure you have a bottle of rectorseal handy so that you can coat the threads of the inlet valve pipe fitting before you connect the water line to the new valve. This will reduce the likelihood of having a leak.

Water was not flowing into the dishwasher.
The valve on this dishwasher is under the lower left front. It is impossible to replace without pulling out the machine and blocking up the left side. Turn off the water supply and the power to the machine. Remove the lower cover and any screws that hold the machine in place. Pull the machine out and block up the left side. Remove th

e screw (hex head) that holds the valve. Remove the wiring clip. Pull the valve out from underneath and remove the rubber tube using pliers to loosen the clamp and slide up. It does take some effort to work the tube off the valve. ( On my original installation there was a 90 degree brass inlet fitting with a compression fitting for the supply.) Remove the supply line compression nut with pliers then remove the brass fitting. Clean the threads of the brass fitting and reinstall in the new valve using teflon tape. Reinstall the compression nut for the supply. Reinstall the rubber tube and clamp. Reattach the valve--there are slots for lining it up-- and reinstall the wiring clip. Turn on the water and check for leaks. Slide the machine back into place and reinstall the lower cover. Turn on the power.

Continous flow of water out of fill port / Basin overflowing
Symptoms: Noticed water on the floor during a run cycle. Cleared cycle and allowed to drain. While inspecting with the door open noticed water was still seeping in through the fill port.
Solution: Got on the site and diagnosed the issue by reading the comments of other folks. Used the site handy parts database to correctly iden ... Read more tify what I needed and ordered it. It shipped same day and I had it by the next day. The how to video was spot on and in about 30 minutes I had switched out the faulty valve. When I examined the bad one its symptoms were as suggested; that years of hard water had built up inside causing the valve not to close.
I spent about $50 altogether on a repair that would have cost $125 if I had hired it done. Better yet my wife was on the phone to the big box store pricing a new one when I found the website. I'm usually not easily impressed, but for having a resource like this website and don’t have to subscribe or pay a usage fee for it, really changed my opinion on online shopping. Bottom-line is, if you have a screwdriver and two working brain cells this site can help you fix your stuff yourself.

Leaking at the inlet valve
I followed the video instructions on partselect.com's site. It was easy to understand. My only difficulty was working within the limited space of the underside of the appliance because I left it installed in its place. Oh, and wear some light-duty work gloves, some of the metal edges on the appliance and part are a little sharp.

valve leaked
I found that the best way for the repair was to remove the dishwasher and turn it up side down to get at the part being replaced. Be sure to turn off the electrical breaker and water supply line. I turned off the water supply and ran the dishwasher to purge the water from the supply and drain lines. It took about an hour.
