There are two bushes, one located on either side of the motor they use electricity from the battery to energize the coils consecutively. As each one becomes energized its drawn to the magnets on either side of the armature, this is what drives it to spin. This bush terminal assembly is sold individually. This is a genuine OEM part that has been sourced directly from Alpha. This is a 2 piece set of carbon bushes commonly used in tile saws. These carbon brushes comes with wire lead and brush spring attached. Carbon bushes in your tile saw take the electricity from outside the motor and use it drive the spinning armature. Over time these carbon brushes will wear down, this is due to the amount of friction they experience. Signs your carbon brushes might be worn down are that the motor is running intermittently, there are electric breaking issues, and engine is experiencing reduced power. We recommend you replace both carbon brushes at the same time, even if only one is worn out. Before you begin this repair make sure you unplug your power tool.

This is an authentic OEM replacement part that has been sourced directly from Alpha. These replacement carbon brushes are commonly used in sander polishers. Carbon brushes work to transfer electrical current to the armature inside the motor of your power tool. These parts are in constant contact with the spinning armature, the friction and heat they experience during operation is what leads to the brushes wearing down. When this happens you might notice your sander polisher has intermittent motor function, or the motor might have reduced power. When replacing carbon brushes you should always inspect the armature, if you find any burns, cracks, or other signs of damage this may indicate there are bigger issues with motor.
