Asked a question yesterday and received answer that it might be infinite switch. Is there a link to directions on how to replace it?
For model number C221
Hi Nadia, thank you for reaching out. To replace the infinite switch, you may follow the instructions given:
1: Remove the vent grill and un-thread the screws inside that hold the control panel.
2: Remove the control panel by sliding it forward a little, and then pick it up. Under the control panel, you will see the units and will have access to the infinite switches.
3: Next, pop the knobs off by pulling it.
4: Use an adjustable wrench to un-thread the infinite switch nut.
You may now replace the old switch and follow the instructions backward to reassemble it. We hope this information is useful!

My Jenn-Air is an "antique." The filter was disgusting!
I had put up with a filter that got more and more raggedy every year, but I thought my 30 yr. old range/grill top was too old for me to find an replacement filter. What a great service you offer. I found you by web-surfing, typed in the model #, and presto--you sent me the shiny new filter. All I had to do was pop it in and throw away
