To access the exterior lightbulb, the bottom panel of the microwave will need to be removed. It is secured in place with screws, so will require a Philips screwdriver to remove it. Screw the new light bulb directly into the light socket. If this is the first time you have replaced this light bulb, the old light bulb might be held in place with silicone. This silicone will need to be cut off using either a utility knife or dental floss before removing the light bulb. Once this silicone and old bulb has been removed, the replacement bulb can be screwed in its place.

This chrome drip bowl is an OEM approved replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. Drip bowls are a part for your cooktop, positioned underneath the burner to catch spills. This drip bowl fits under 8-inch burner elements and has a diameter of approximately 10-inches. It is common for the manufacturer to switch up designs, so it may not match your current part, however searching using the correct model number will ensure proper fit and function. Drips bowls are prone to wear and tear and can be a fire hazard if not replaced when needed. It is also a quick, easy, and cheap way to give your appliance a fresh new look. Each drip bowl is sold individually, so if you are interested in replacing your other drips bowls, they need to be ordered separately. This is also an opportune time to inspect the terminals for corrosion or damage, and the condition of the burner. No tools are required for installation, simply line up the hole on the bowl with the terminal block and drop it into place. Give your new drip bowl a regular cleaning with warm water and soap to help it last as long as possible.

Light switch no longer worked
Turn off and unplug your refrigerator. I used the screwdriver on the left side of the part (where the plug is) and used the putty knife at the same time on the right side to push the spring lock portion of the part in. The part snapped out. I unplugged the left contact from the plug and put it on the new part, then I unplugged the right contact and put it on the new part. I did this so the wires would not go up into the refrigerator and be hard to find. I put the left side of the new part where the plug and contacts are in first then I snapped the right side in place. I plugged the refrigerator back in and it worked perfectly. Just take your time and gently remove and reconnect the new part. The store where I bought my refrigerator wanted $69.95 for a service call plus an hourly charge and part charge. Count on this site for your parts and do it yourself. I ordered the part on Monday, it was delivered on Tuesday around noon and I made the repair that afternoon. Read more...

The drip bowl is used for electric ranges or cooktops with the coiled style burners, to catch any drips, spills, or crumbs that may occur while cooking. If your bowls have become discolored, corroded, difficult to clean, or otherwise damaged it may be time to replace them. This repair is easy and does not require any tools to complete the job. Ensure that all burners are turned off and cool to the touch before starting. First you need to lift up and disconnect the burner from the socket. While you have the burner out, it is a good time to check it for any signs of damage. Look at the terminals for any signs of arcing or burning. If you notice this, you will want to replace both the element and the receptacle it plugs into. Remove the old drip bowl by pulling it out. Then insert the new one by lining up the small hole on the side with the element block. Ensure that it is siting flat and then plug the element back into the socket. Please note that the manufacturer has substituted this part, and it no longer has a solid bottom. It is not recommended to cover the hole with products like aluminum foil, as it can trap heat or melt, becoming a fire hazard. As it is an OEM part, it ensures it will fit your model. The drip bowls are sold individually, chrome in color and about 8 inches in diameter, made to fit under a 6 inch burner element.

Burner would not heat up and the cook top on light would not turn off.
First turn off breaker. Pull out stove and unplug. There was about 8 screws on the panel on the back side of the control panel. Remove panel. Remove knob on the bad control and there is 2 screws behind knob. Remove those 2 screws and take the new control and remove 1 wire at a time from old switch to new one then put back together. If your freezer has stopped making ice cubes, it may be time to replace your ice maker. Normal wear and tear, or accidental damage may be the cause of this. This model includes the control device and ice mold, which are made of plastic and metal, and measure approximately 11 inches long by 5 inches wide. Please note that this kit does not include the cover, ice level arm, or the wire harness. These parts can be ordered separately, or you can use the existing parts from the original ice maker. This Replacement Ice Maker is a genuine OEM part and is also known as an Ice Maker Assembly or a Refrigerator Ice Maker. Installation will require a quarter inch nut driver, and make sure that you disconnect your power and water supply before beginning this repair. Once the new part is in place, your fridge will begin making ice again within a few hours.

Before beginning this repair make sure you have unplugged your appliance.

Elements heat sporatically
I followed the steps in the instructions which were very easy, once the electric power was turned off to the range. I replaced 2 burner plug in blocks in less than 30 minutes. I am embarrassed to say that these burners have not been functional for almost 3 years. I thought that I could not work with electric. Just make sure you have the tools on hand and read the instructions first. I am a mid-50's female, if I can do this so can anyone else! Read more...

This heating element mounting nut is used in dishwashers and is used to hold the nut to prevent leaking. If your nut is damaged or you notice leaking from the dishwasher, then replacing this nut will solve this problem. The tools needed for this repair are a 1/2 inch wrench, 1/4 inch nut driver, and needle nose pliers. To repair, locate the two element heating nuts. Next, disconnect connecter wire and remove nut with wrench. Tip: when installing new nut, remember to add insulator sleeve back on. As a safety precaution, remember to disconnect the water supply line before beginning this installation. Also, unplug your dishwasher from the power source.

The capacitor, also known as a run capacitor, is a component in your fridge that allows the compressor to cycle on and off to maintain a constant temperature. If your fridge and freezer are too warm it may be necessary to replace the capacitor. Other symptoms include an unusually noisy and overheated compressor. You can check the capacitor for continuity using a multimeter. This is a genuine OEM replacement part made of black plastic that measures 1 inch by 1.5 inches. When replacing this part, be sure to check the electrical contacts on the old capacitor. If they are corroded or burnt, you will need to replace the overload relay assembly as well. Be sure to disconnect the power supply to your refrigerator before beginning this repair.

Both comparments very warm but fan working and lights on
Bought Capacitor, but I had to purchase Combo Start Up Kit that Cap goes into. The site said that 78% of the time my problem of both compartments being warm were resolved/repair by replacing Capacitor, but when the item was replaced it did not and my son looked further and found that it would then be the Combination Start Up Kit (Part# PS11740412), which starts the compressor. Thanks to this site the video used to install both parts. I was able to use the old Capacitor and I am returning the new one first purchased. Read more...
