My icemaker is dispensing ice extremely slow. What can be the problem it is making plenty of ice.

Hello Mark, Thank you for your inquiry. It could be an issue with the ice dispenser solenoid, the auger motor, or the module with switches. See if the auger turns freely and there are no ice jams, check the plunger on the solenoid to make sure it is moving up and down smoothly. You can test the switches on the module with a multimeter and check for any damaged wires. Good luck with your repair.

My ice maker is dispensing ice and crushed ice when cube button is pressed. What could be the problem. Tks

Hi Mark, thank you for the question. Based on our understanding, the issue is because of the ice dispenser solenoid, part number FIX8691994. The ice dispenser solenoid allows cube or crushed ice to be dispensed on demand. We would recommend checking this part to fix the issue. We hope this helps!

The auger is moving the ice towards the drum blocking the entrance to the drum therefore not dispensing the ice as it accumulates above and around the drum. I noticed they’ve changed the design on the auger with less spirals, could this solve my problem thank

Hello Mark, Thank you for writing. Checking this model number provided the auger has not changed. The new augers will not work in this bucket. The Auger for this model is only sold as part of the Bucket Fix Number: FIX10057214. We hope this helps!

Just unscrew and take out the unit - the unit functions just to keep the ice maker wiring in place. 3) The wiring looks a mess, but there's just one wiring connector to the ice maker assembly. Unsnap it. The ice maker is not screwed in, it just slides in -- reach in and pull the assembly straight out; when it stops, lower it a bit and it will come free. Reverse the instructions to install the new unit.

my multimeter to test the numbers. Numbers were off just a bit. Ordered the part. Crossed my fingers.,took less then 5 minutes to put the part in. Plugged in the fridge. It was sitting at 33 degrees in about an hour and a half. I can’t believe I fixed it. I knew NOTHING about refrigerators. For how big my fridge is, it would have cost 3,000 and up to get a new one with the same cu ft size. Instead, it cost me $44. That includes shipping. Thank you Parts Select!!
