Ice maker stopped making ice
Loosened 2 screws on left side freezer wall. Disconnected wire harness. Took out ice maker. Made sure screws extended far enough out to fit the new ice maker over them. Connected the wire harness. Put ice maker onto the 2 screws. Tightened the screws. Within a few hours we had ice. NOTE: use a mirror or you will fish blindly trying to find and tighten the screws. With the mirror, it was easy.

Light switch no longer worked
Turn off and unplug your refrigerator. I used the screwdriver on the left side of the part (where the plug is) and used the putty knife at the same time on the right side to push the spring lock portion of the part in. The part snapped out. I unplugged the left contact from the plug and put it on the new part, then I unplugged the right contact and put it on the new part. I did this so the wires would not go up into the refrigerator and be hard to find. I put the left side of the new part where the plug and contacts are in first then I snapped the right side in place. I plugged the refrigerator back in and it worked perfectly. Just take your time and gently remove and reconnect the new part. The store where I bought my refrigerator wanted $69.95 for a service call plus an hourly charge and part charge. Count on this site for your parts and do it yourself. I ordered the part on Monday, it was delivered on Tuesday around noon and I made the repair that afternoon.

Ice maker stopped making ice
Super easy. Loosen 2 screws. Disconnect power line. Take out broken part and plug in new part then slide icemaker back in place and tighten 2 screws. Saved me the $89 service call plus whatever they would have overcharged for the part! And no waiting around for repair guy!

The ice maker quit working again.
This is an ongoing problem with this fridge. These ice makers are bad off the shelf. I am now on my fourth in a years time. My mother has the same fridge and her's has never worked. I began by getting another ice maker an putting it in. It didn't work, so I assumed that it had to be the pump in the fridge itself, so I ordered one. It's really easy to put in. Turn off water, take off the cardboard back, unscrew water line with 1/2 wrench, unscrew two screw holding the pump to the fridge, unplug the little wire and the second water line. It's real simple and self explanitory when you look at it, but it didn't work. I put my Ohm's meter on the pumps plugs and it checked 250 across it which is right. So I took the the ice maker back to Lowe's and the new kit had a pump in it for $.65 less than the ice maker alone had cost before. Go figure. I put it in. Didn't work. I put in the new pump. Didn't work. I blew out the water lines. Didn't work. I ran to town and got dielectiric grease and put in all the connections and it worked. The electric connections on this fridge are really cheap and weak like the rest of the unit. I guess it needed a bit of help making the connection. I spent over $80 and drove about 60 miles to fix this thing when it possibly only needed a $1 worth of dielectric grease in the first place. Don't make the same mistake I did. Check it first.

Both comparments very warm but fan working and lights on
Bought Capacitor, but I had to purchase Combo Start Up Kit that Cap goes into. The site said that 78% of the time my problem of both compartments being warm were resolved/repair by replacing Capacitor, but when the item was replaced it did not and my son looked further and found that it would then be the Combination Start Up Kit (Part# PS11740412), which starts the compressor. Thanks to this site the video used to install both parts. I was able to use the old Capacitor and I am returning the new one first purchased.
