Damaged commutator segment.
1/ Remove threaded ring from nose of tool and collet nut.
2/ Pry off wire suspension loop from rear of tool.
3/ Remove the commutator brushes.
3/ Remove Torx screws holding the two halves of the tool together.
4/ Gently pry apart the two halves of the tool. Leaving the all the components in the half that has the Dremel label.
5/ Carefully lift the armature aft end out of the housing and gently pull out the armature assembly.
6/ Reinstall the new armature and make sure it rotates freely and the stator housing is seated in the plastic housing. Double check the brush holders are seated correctly.
7/ Reinstall the screws, suspension loop and nose ring.
8/ Install new brushes. Don't reuse the old ones.
9/ Double check armature rotates freely by hand before applying power.
10/ All done.
