If opening and closing your refrigerator is difficult, it could be due to a damaged or warped crisper cover front support. This part keeps the crisper shelf in place and mounts to the inside cabinet wall. Sold individually, this part is white in color, measures approximately 1 inch in diameter, and can be used for the front and rear support. The installation of this part is considered easy and should only take a few minutes. You will need a small flat blade screwdriver, putty knife, and soft hammer. Take the crisper and shelf out of the refrigerator first. To remove the old part, start by pushing the locking pin into the interior of the cabinet using the screwdriver, pull the support out with the putty knife. If taking out the pin is difficult, use a flat blade screwdriver to push it down and out of sight, this will not harm your refrigerator. Remove the pin and attach the new support, using a soft hammer to lock the new pin in place.

The original freezer handle 530-450-6469 had a sharp corner that could hurt one’s head upon coming up when reaching for a lower shelf in the refrigerator. I replaced it with door handle 218428101 which has a tapered end.
To take out the old handle, you simply take out the screws from the bottom and then you rotate the handle counterclockwise, and it released the top part of the handle from that screw hook. To put on the new handle I just did the reverse but since my new handle was not the official handle for the fridge, it did not fit the old screw holes but it did coincide with other screw holes that were plugged. I did not yet drill the screws into the new plugged area but just put on duct tape and it seems to be holding just fine. If I cared about the aesthetics, I would just drill the holes into the plugged screw holes. Read more...

This handle works on both the fridge and freezer door, and if yours has become damaged it should be replaced. This is a genuine OEM replacement part, and is sold individually. If you need to replace both handles, please be sure to order the correct quantity. This is an easy repair that requires the use of a Phillips screwdriver. If the old handle is still attached to the door, remove the two screws (located at the top of the fridge door, or bottom of the freezer door) and then slide the opposite end off of the single screw. When attaching the new handle, do this in the opposite order. Slide the keyhole in the handle onto the individual screw on the door, then line up the other end of the handle and insert the two screws to secure the handle to the door.

Valve wouldn't fill the ice maker
Old valve used compression fittings on the plastic lines. The new valve uses the push oring fittings which required cutting off the end of each line. This rear crisper support mounts on the inside of the refrigerator wall to support the rear crisper cover. It is made of white plastic and is sold as an individual part. The support is secured in place by a locking pin. It usually becomes evident that this part needs to be replaced when the shelf is no longer level or the drawer is not opening and closing as it should. For this repair, you will need to remove all the shelves above the crisper to provide space to complete this easy repair. Crisper support broke causing the crisper to chip on back left corner and the plastic cover broke.
Took hammer and punch pushed the cover pin through, using a putty knife and tape to protect the paint pried the cover support out. pushed the new support in and tapped the pin flush with outside edge of support placed cover back on supports replacing glass. had to order pan-crisper. Broken bake element & light bulb
Turned of the power at the fuse box as the oven was hard wired to the electrical source and then removed the old element via the screws at the back of the oven. Disconnected the wires from the element and then reconnected those to the new element. Screwed the element base to the back wall of the oven and then replaced the light bulb. Read more...
