This kit comes with the necessary components to replace your burner terminal block. It includes interchangeable mounting brackets, a terminal box, ceramic wire nuts, heat shrink protective tubing, and wires. The purpose of this part is to connect the wire harness to the surface element, which allows for the burners to heat up. Some common issues that result from a damaged terminal block is that your element will not heat properly or not heat up at all, may cause burning smell, or make a buzzing noise. If you remove the element and the tips are black, that is a good sign there is a problem with the terminal block and it should be replaced. It may also be necessary to replace the burner elements as well, if the tips are badly damaged. This repair will require a pair of wire strippers, a #1 square head screwdriver, and a heat gun or hair dryer. If you are not comfortable with cutting, stripping, and reconnecting of wires you should contact a qualified professional to complete this repair. Please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your appliance before starting this repair. As this is a genuine OEM parts kit, it will be compatible with your appliance model.

Broken bake element & light bulb
Turned of the power at the fuse box as the oven was hard wired to the electrical source and then removed the old element via the screws at the back of the oven. Bake element replacement
1. Turn of over power at the breaker.
2. Remove bake element cover. There's 2 quarter inch nuts.
3. Disconnect old element. For me there was not much play in the wires so when I disconnected the old element I lost the wire in the insulation. If this happened you can remove the central plate cover on the back of the oven and you can easily find the wires again.
4. Connect the replacement element.
5. Screw the bake element cover back in.

This part is located in the bottom of your appliance and is what supplies the heat for cooking and baking. If your oven or range has no heat coming from the element or is not heating evenly, you may need to replace the element. This repair is considered to be of medium difficulty and requires the use of a screwdriver. Other items that may help with your repair are a flashlight, and wooden clothes pins (to prevent the wires from falling back into the oven). This kit comes with two installation screws and the 240 volt bake element, which is a black metal piece approximately 13 inches wide and 16.5 inches in length. Screws out, new ones in, done. The only thing I'll add which had me concerned was that the element photo shown on the one inch grid didn't show the mounting screws at 3.5" on center which is what my oven had.
