This part is the replacement fan for your range hood. It is made of white plastic and is approximately 7 inches in diameter. The fan blade helps to dissipate smoke and smells from your range. The main reason you would want to repair the fan blade is if it is damaged, and will not rotate. To remove the fan, use a pair of pliers to grab the retaining clip, and pull the fan blade off the shaft of the motor. This part is sold individually and is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

This is the replacement fan switch for your range hood. When you turn the knob to turn the range fan on, the fan switch is actuated. If your fan will not turn on when the knob is turned, you most likely have an issue with the fan switch. The fan has a main square portion with a red center that connects to the fan control knob. The main portion is approximately 1 inch in diameter. This part is sold individually. Be sure to disconnect the power source from your range before you begin this repair.

plastic stems broke replaced both switches
Turn off circuit breaker to vent hood. Note how narrow wire channel cover fits into switch cover underneath hood. Remove range burners and sit on range facing switch cover for access to screws with small Phillips head screwdriver. Remove both back wire cover and switch cover screws. Remove covers. Remove plastic control knobs on front by pulling straight off. Do not twist. With pliers or wrench remove two locking nuts. Light switch has three wires. Fan switch has four. Note wire colors and corresponding numbered slots on back of switch. Using end of large paper clip push into wire slot behind wire to loosen spring tension and carefully pull wire straight out. Do all wires in one switch at a time. Keep wire end straight and insert into correct numbered slot on new switch. Do not overtighten locking nuts upon reassembly. Replace knobs. Screw switch cover back on and then narrow wire cover. Turn circuit breaker on. Test new switches. Read more...

This is the replacement light switch for your range. It comes with the actual switch, and the hex nut that goes with it. The switch is approximately 1 ¼ inches by 1 ¼ inches, and the hex nut is approximately ½ an inch in diameter. When you press the switch, it allows you to turn the range light on and off. If the light does not come on when you hit the switch, you may need to replace it. Be sure to disconnect your microwave from the power source before you begin this repair. This part is an authentic OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

replaced a halogen bulb
I only replaced a halogen bulb so the light on the microwave oven would shine over the stove at night, or when I needed better lighting on the stove while cooking.
I used a Phillips to unscrew the plate covering the light bulb. I then grabbed the dead bulb, gently pulled it out, lined up the holes in the place where the new bulb would go with the pins on the new bulb, and gently (again) forced it into position.

Previous user had used a bulb that melted/burned the cover
This was really easy. I wrote down the model number and make of the exhaust fan under the hood above the range. I then entered in the info and there it was, the light cover we were looking for. Ordering was fast and easy. The part arrived in a couple of days. Opened the package, and inserted it in. Done. Simply awesome. Read more...
