This is a genuine replacement drip bowl, that measures 6 inches in internal diameter to match the burner, but actually measures closer to 8 inches in diameter in total to its outer edge. If this part is worn, damaged or beyond cleaning, this replacement part can provide an inexpensive and simple facelift to your range. This part is sold individually, but this might be a good opportunity to inspect the other drip bowls on your appliance and replace at the same time. This is a quick and easy repair that does not require any tools. Start by removing the element from the stove top using your hands. Insert the new bowl, making sure it is aligned to where the element is plugged in and reassemble the element.

Bake element replacement
1. Turn of over power at the breaker.
2. Remove bake element cover. There's 2 quarter inch nuts.
3. Disconnect old element. For me there was not much play in the wires so when I disconnected the old element I lost the wire in the insulation. If this happened you can remove the central plate cover on the back of the oven and you can easily find the wires again.
4. Connect the replacement element.
5. Screw the bake element cover back in.

This is a 10-inch chrome drip bowl intended to fit an 8-inch burner. This bowl is used to catch drips from food cooking on the oven element. This bowl might burn, become rusty, and just generally wear with time, and will need to be replaced. Please note that this drip bowl is sold individually, so if you would like to order more drip bowls for your appliance they will need to be ordered separately. To access the drip bowl, you will need to remove the elements. To replace the bowl, line up the hole with the terminal block where the element plugs into.

Bake element replacement

I simply removed the burners and drip pans and replaced the drip pans with the replacement parts. The replacement parts fit better than the original parts. The burner did not fit well in the old drip pans and the pans did not sit level on the burners.The new drip pans are perfect even to the slots to accommodate one of the legs on the burner. The element circuit had infinite resistance on the small burner
I disconnected the power to the oven.

I opened the top oven access and located and removed the two (2) 1/4" hex head screws installed to hold down the cooktop.

The oven lifts up and allows access to the burner in question. I removed the wiring and installed the new element and reconnected the wiring.

I restored power to the oven and tested the stovetop burner. Read more...
